Location Location Location!

With the Lakes and Fells on your doorstep, the Solway Coast (which is an area of outstanding natural beauty) and Scotland nearby, the recreational and educational facilities are unsurpassed. The immediate local area also has many interesting historical features to discover.

Although the College does not have accommodation of its own, there is a wide range of accommodation available in the area covered by the schools used in the Teacher Training Course, details of which will be sent to you if you are successful in gaining a place.

Although distances between the participating schools and the CPTT Centre are relatively small, public transport in West Cumbria is very limited, therefore it is advisable for all trainees have their own transport. Opportunities for sharing transport within school placements are limited.

You must live in Workington if you do not have your own car!
